Alf Hermida sent me his proto Zen Drive to take for a spin and demo. All I can say is WOW!!! Incredible pedal!! I recorded these three clips in 15 minutes. 1 take on each backing. Flubs and all... FYI, this it he first time I ever plugged one in. I bet I can dial in even better tones once I get used to it.
Same rig as my usual except the Fuchs was on the clean channel with tones pretty much centered. This pedal is unreal.
Sounds great man, those are some killer tones and similar to what I'm getting from the Mosferatu at lower gain settings....not the licks though, smokin!!
No wonder RF is using the ZD....

Just amazing OD. Best I ever tried. By far!

Scott: Thanks for the clips! If you take away the awesome tone, the chops, the good guitars and amps and the talent then you'll have a good idea how I play
Killer playing and tone SL. Love the help the poor clip. My clips sound like poopy compared to this and Gainsters....Alf ya might wanna 86 mine and put up Scotts and Gainsters...Plus mine are of the older proto....

Love the "Help the poor" clip....shhhhweeeet.
Alf
word. the help the poor clip was kickin some arse. I dug the groove, tone and phrasing. I liked how the tone was familiar scottl, but had a nice sheen on top.

Thanks!! I recorded this dry. I added a touch of delay and verb in my software. Sonic Foundry delay plugin and Waves Reverb. I think the delay was 540ms and the verb was about 2.2s (settings for the Miles clip)
All I can say is WOW! Both to the pedal and Scott's playing. Well, I can't buy Scott's chops, but I can get a Zen Drive, so I did. Now I just have to wait until Ted gets them back in stock.

Scott, Does the Zen compress much? I just posted about getting my TS-9 back, and I'm just not trilled with it. I am not debating on the Zen or KOT, or whatever... lol
I love m amps distortion, but want to dirty up the clean channel and add to the gain channel.
Also, do you find the Zen to and much noise or hum. I noticed a hum in the "Test-drive" post right before the playing starts.
