Ok, I'm on a "tone high" and just need to spout off about it. Just got my Budda Superdrive 30 head yesterday....oh my. The tone is what I've been seeking for years. Rythym channel = AC30...Lead Channel = Plexi. Furthermore, it's the first amp I've had where the effects loop actually works, so I plugged my fuzz, phaser, and delay into the loop and run the wah pedal straight into the front.....wah/fuzz problem solved! Tone suckage from pedals solved! Ok, I'm done. Thanks for accomodating me on my rant.

I heard only pussies play that amp.

That's why all us guys that bought other amps wound up gettin' married. Don't plan on ever being single again, but will MOST CERTAINLY purchase a Budda if I do. Hot tip.

What do you get if you play a Little Smokey?

... the Fleas of a thousand camels infesting your armpits!!!! ( My little smokey amp is the pack of camels edition) And oddly i had lost this thing in the basement - and it turned up last week while I was cleaning- and it still worked on the old battery!!! sounds pretty good too

Mine is a Camels too! Yesterday a guy on a DIY pedal building forum posted a link to a schematic for the Little Smokey. I'd like to try to build a pedal/practice amp utilizing that little guy. What I have in mind is building a version of the Mini Booster that has two outputs, & run one of the outputs to a built in Little Smokey type amp & the other output to a regular outboard amp, & putting an FX loop on the Smokey part of it. The original poster's idea was to build a Fuzz Face type of circuit onto a Smokey.

a fuzz face into a Lil Smokey with a little bigger speaker I think is called a Pignose--- Pignose out the back output into good amp is still my favorite 'Spirit in the Sky' Fuzz........Try this: plug into your Lil Smokey, tape the plug to the Smokey, have one of the kids swing it like Daltrys' Mic------- Instant Leslie!!!! or use two with the out puts of a Panner and you'll puke from the motion...........

I always liked when you're playing into a Pignose, & someone else opens & closes the box. Sort of a wah effect.

you can do that with the Smaokey if you face the speaker down on a tableand lift up one side of it.....

I'm bordering on serious about building a little practice amp, combining a booster with a Smokey, that could drive either a speaker or an amp as a pedal. I'm not convinced that I should go to the effort to install a little speaker when I'd almost always use a larger outboard speaker anyways. It would basically be like an amp head the size of a PE Experience pedal.

Sounds interesting - wouldthe booster just boost the signal going out to a speaker? my only gripe on the Smokey is it has no clean sound really, puting a booster infront of it would just make it distort more, right???.......or how about : guitar into wireless transmitter, tape the reciever and the smokey together and then attach that to a Cieling fan ...or the house cat... or the TV remote so when you need to find it you just start wailing--------------8o}

Understand that I haven't tried this yet, but I've read that you can install a switch between two connections on the IC, to get a cleaner sound when disconnected. If I installed a stompswitch I could bypass the booster & go straight to the "Smokey".

Whether or not the booster is bypassed, the signal would go to a Switchcraft 13A jack, which can divert a signal to a different jack when unplugged. The booster signal could be used into an amp or diverted into the "Smokey", then that signal would go to the speaker.

There would be at least a volume knob for the booster, as well as whatever little Bias type functions I could dream up. In theory you could replace every resistor in a circuit with a potentiometer. Doing something like that could wind up like a Fuzz Factory with lots of cool tones, as well as a lot of "unuseable" tones as well.
