I was on the Carvin website tonight and i saw the TS100 Tube Power Amp. It says it has both 12AX7's and EL34's so would it be possible to play as an amp? i was just curious if it was possible

I saw a guy a long time ago run a straight power amp, but he was also using a pretty massive rackmount EQ and some Boss pedals to make it more "guitar" sounding. All in all, it wasn't bad. He was playing heavier music, and I thought it sounded pretty damned evil.

The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

Will work if you run a guitar preamp first... and use a cab that can handle it (most liekly a 4x12) I ran a Crest PA amp as my amp back in my huge racks years, worked great. Plus I was always swapping things aroudn in my rack for either guitar gig or soundman gigs
