I'm going to pickup a Teese Wah in the near future but I'm still a bit unsure about which one to choose. I play humbuckers exclusively so the RMC1 is out and I don't need the tweakablility of the RMC3. So wizard, RMC2 or Picture? I play through a Matchless HC30 head into a 4x10 openback cab.

Yea I'm looking seriously at the RMC2 and the picture wah. I'm not sure I want the slight boost that the wizard wah gives.

I have all three the Wizard,Picture and RMC2 and I like the RMC2 the best because it copys so many differant wahs very well. But any of these Wahs will serve you well.

The PW is bad ass and I have had them all.

GT builds a quality pedal that should last about 200 years barring a nuclear holocost.

If not a Teese I would buy a moded Vox . It is also excellent tone wise it costs less but is not built as well as a Teese so I suppose you get what you pay for.

Wizard wah is a very nice wah, it has a nice deep tone and doesnt bite your head off with peircing high end. I had one but unfortunately i had a Single rectifier and it didnt cut well with that amp.
I now use marshall amps and i bet that pedal would be perfect for it, I use a Morley tremonti wah which to me sounds very close to the wizard wah

Teese sets all his wahs up for max. treble. If the top end is too piercing just roll the gear pinion back a bit. I have a DR with Weber 12F150 (50watts, un-doped) and the top-end was killing me. Rolling the pinion back abit sorted that out.

I think the Picture wah is better with open-backed cabinets as the Wizard will get "boomy". The Wizard with a closed-back cab will be better because the air is compressed, restricting cone movement, and therefore tightening the lows.

An increase in the power rating of your speaker can also smooth things out a bit as well.

I don't find my PW to be high endy at all.
Actually my Vox has more highs than my PW .

The Wizard is a RMC-1 alt. tuning if I have it correctly and I found that on actually had some gain of it's own which I personally didn't care for . I found the PW more like the cool old tones that came from the older wahs.

It's cool Teese makes all the different types as we all hear and want different things.

All the best

George

My vote is for the RMC2. I own both PW and the RMC2. The RMC2's ability to cop different wah tones is the reason for my choice. Both wah's are great and I plan on keeping both. Top quality, customer service etc. Geoffrey is a great guy!

Thanks Guys.
I am going to pick up the Teese RMC2 today.
I dont think I could have gone wrong picking
up either the wizard, picuture or the RMC 2
but I feel like I might need to tailor the
sound a bit to my setup. I'll tell you how it sounds later in the week.

if the teese stuff is just a more better Vox wah, then I am prawly not interested in it..

I am just so sick of the V847, TB modded and unmodded, sounded likes crud. one had the 'brown' mod done too, sounded like crud...even in TB.

Im thinking the v847 is a crud wah... Mad

what gear are you using with it? maybe know someone that has a vox you could try with your setup to see if you just have a turd...maybe all the modding screwed something up...what type of wah tone are you trying to get? is there a song or artists wah tone you are looking for? just trying to help.

ive been waiting here for hours to meet you Mr King...why in the hell didnt you come down to my new club?
