The TS9 Turbo is great for bass, the other 3 settings put the bass back in that the regular tubescreamer attenuates....and it has good grit and overdrive if you ike or just clean bost..you check this pedal at analogman.com they have a description and it talks about using it on bass......I have one Ill swap you for the JH,,,,, dr711@mindspring.com

i have heard, but never tried, a mxr blue box with a bass sounds great, and you can turn off the sub octave thingee so its also just fuzz. i got one i dont use. ill trade if you want to..
