That sounds pretty cool. For the price, I may have to check one out.

I love how people on this forum want to have that pedal, even though most of you guys probably hate Satch's tone.

I want to try out the Satch-Pedal... at least the Price is right.

I like his tone for what it is. His music I can take or leave. Some is cool, some is beyond cheesy. At least he doesn't try to sing like EJ Frown

I have a friend at Korg and he says it is their most pre-ordered pedal ever.

I'm gonna' buy one, even if I don't play like that (at all!).

I'm sure you are right Jaydee. Nanook was impressed with your Mo'd. I hope my distortion needs are covered with Headshot's pedal. I have a few of his Homebrew pedals already!

He did sing on one or two albums! HA. Well, some of his tones are cool, some are just bleh. I like the fact that this pedal has a boost as well. And, the price seems very reasonable.

Hmm, I think most people here respect the man for his playing and stuff, but tone-wise most on here are lots more vintage-minded.

It probably will be a cool new pedal. I wouldn't worry abut the pedal giving you the "Satch" tone. It all comes down to how you dial it in and what amp you are using.

Sometimes the tones players have been searching for are hidden in the last place you would think of. I have an old Ibanez Super Metal and it has some great classic tones in it. I certainly wouldn't call it a "metal" pedal.

I've been lurking on the forum for a long time... definitely agree that it is more vintage-minded. I have a JSX head which doesn't get much love either... but after changing the tubes, my search is over. I'm not a huge fan Joe fan but he does seem to endorse great gear so I wouldn't be surprised if the Vox is a great pedal.

+1 to Dosmun's statement.
I'm pretty much a JS hater as far as his music, but i would definitely try this pedal out. One of my favorite guitar influences is Jonny from Radiohead, and he's gotten many of his main tones from a solid state Fender and a Marshall Shredmaster pedal. You can definitely think outside of the box when demoing equipment, as long as you have your playing in mind.
(I try to keep reminding myself this when i won't pick up a PRS and plug into a Boogie. Ah well.)

cheers

Satchurator is in "effect", and ready to rock!

To be honest, it's got about twice the amount of gain I really need...it's heavy duty!!!

It sounds like a cool pedal. Can't wait to hear some more reviews!

I really like JS. He's got a great touch, and a very melodic style. Plus, he had that Bitchin', Neal Schon-Approved Fro!

Utterly Guitarded, that pedalboard you posted a pic if is pretty rockin', too. Man, I would love to try out the TC! And all that Xotic stuff. What kind of Guitar and Amp are you playing through?

And to all 3 of you guys, WELCOME! This is a great Forum.

Thanks!
The G-System is really great, all the effects in one place, with a pretty simple interface, it's nice to have at your feet. I play in an 80's new wave cover band, the G-System is perfect for recreating all of those great guitar tones.
I put together my own guitars from parts I buy from Warmoth and USA Custom Guitars...right now I'm playing a carved-top, hollow Tele from USACG, painted like a gold top Les Paul. It has Tom Anderson pickups and sounds amazing!
My amp is a Peavey Classic 30 combo, nothing fancy, I've done a few minor mods on it to make it sound more like a Deluxe (but at half the price). The Xotic RC Booster transforms that amp into a pseudo Dr. Z kinda thing.

Hey Darth,
I play in The Fatal Attractions, we do mostly early 80's...New Order, Depeche Mode, INXS, Pet Shop Boys, Duran Duran, The Cure, The Smiths...not a ton of fun guitar songs, but enough to keep me happy.
www.myspace.com/thefatalattractions
We have a few videos up there, the audio's not bad, but the video is TERRIBLE, soon to be replaced by some decent footage...we're shooting some new stuff this Friday at Cedar Street.
