Depending on your budget and if you want a tube amp or not... you're likely to get a load of suggestions...

Here are 2 amps I'd recommend

Peavey Classic 30 all tube http://www.peavey.com

Tech21nyc Their amps are great and versatile tho not tube but still sounds great to me. http://www.tech21nyc.com

Of course those are amps I like please try them for yourself before even considering buying them.

Hope this helps, you're likely to get a lot of other suggestions also...

I agree with Glorbz. Let us know how much you want to spend. I use a Carvin MTS-3212, which is a great value. Recently they had them on sale for $650 I think. Both channels, clean and OD, are VERY good. Eventually, I might get a Top Hat, Blues Pearl, or Bogner.
I have a Tech 21 TM10. It is a very versatile amp, although I don’t really like the clean sounds. I use it mostly for practice and direct recording.

I think it is a great amp and a great value. I don’t like the cabinet voiced line output. I was impressed by the clean channel, and in general it has a great sound, full bodied without sounding muddy. The gain channel is also great. It has a voice of it’s own (i.e.,it doesn’t sound like a Marshall). It’s a very versatile amp. I am not playing live anymore, and it is pretty loud, so in the future I might get a 20 watt amp. I usually play with the volume at 1 or 2, and a couple of days ago I played with the volume at 7, and it is impressive (but I don’t think my neighbors appreciate it Smile ) My cousin (who plays keyboards professionally) really liked the amp, and so did my ex-bass player (when I used to play with him I was using a Marshall JCM-800, which I really liked).
I had never heard of Carvin when I got my Carvin guitar, but I was so impressed by their quality and prices that I decided to try the amp. I live about 45 minutes away from their factory, so I went there and played for about 1 or 2 hours, and bought the amp. I also have a tube microphone from them, and I’m very happy with it. Last month they came out with some studio monitors, but I had already purchased some Event PS6. As you can see, I am very happy with their products. They offer great quality at reasonable prices. I looked at similar amps before making the purchase, and most were at least twice the price. I hope this answer your question Smile

For $1300 you can buy a silverface Deluxe Reverb and a good overdrive pedal.
