I Googled Beano & the first thing that came up was the comic book. The website is www.beanotown.com It's primarily for kids, but looks funny. Also I found www.12bar.de/beano which is a tutorial site that details the Beano Album. Just thought I'd pass it along.

The Bluesbreakers album from 1966, is perhaps my favorite album. I started learning to play 'Eric Clapton-style' with the arrival of that album. I still play a few of those tunes today. It's one of my cherished possessions. Still love to listen to it from time to time (vinyl, of course).

Dave, I clicked on the tutorial site but didn't get a hit (?)... that could be a great reference for teaching.

Anyway, "Beano" is certainly my fave 'blues rock' record; it absolutely defines Clapton the guitarist, in my opinion.

Mr. C

You have to hit the link that page gives you to get into the site,
then navigate from there.

It's an AMAZING website!
Wow, someone put a lot of work into that.
It's lo-tech, but chock full of goodies.

Thanks cubba... however, I just get a "website not found" message. Sometimes you can copy and past an addy and then click on it and it works, but no cigar in this case...?

Try this Tim:

http://12bar.de/

If this doesn't work then there's some kind of browser issue.

Thanks for that link. Yep, I've about worn out the grooves in my vinyl copy too. Clapton displays such a fiery intesity that seems to leap from his heart to his fingers.
