what do you have to say about this one?

Just heard Jeff Richman w/ Jimmy Haslip playing with one of these and it sounded better than the Landgraff OD.

I have a PO and have had an LDO...in no way shape or form does it come even close to sounding better than an LDO...

in fact it is a very close replica of the LDO with the toggle in the up position with the PO being a bit thinner sounding in the mids...

what holds the PO back form being awesome is the eq./color knob which subtly changes the mids until about 3 oc when the treble kicks in...

meaning that when I dial in a nice neck pup tone (eq. at 3oc or higher) the bridge pup is too sharp and when I dial in a nice bridge pup tone (eq. at 11-1oc) the neck pup is too muddy which means that I can't change pups mid song without redoing the eq.

the LDOs eq. is much more effective and in this regard it is a much more versatle pedal...

Sound samples: www.xacttone.com/xactod.html

Sounds good to me as it is but I have no idea how it is compared to Landgraff.

Interesting...

I have the LDO and while I LOVE it, it can't do what that sound bite did. I'll prolly have to buy one...

I thought the clip sounds real good, I've thought about grabbing one of these to use as a gain stage booster.
Anyone know how well it works driving an amp thats already distorted?

sure it can easily...take Van Wilkes...use the same guitar and amp with an LDO in the toggle up position and I'll bet you can get real close Wink

Chrissy and I have done numerous comparisions with both pedals side by side...just ask him what he thought...I know what I heard Smile

to be exact, Richman was using both the XTS and the Landgraff.

At THIS concert the XTS won. I had a look at his pedalboard as he was getting ready to leave. I asked about the different od´s he had and he said himself he liked the XTS better for the stuff he played at this gig.

a matter of personal taste, I want both!
