the Sole Mate is a real spring reverb in a pedal...

it's made by Van amps

I knew you were building it but that looks way cooler than I had imagined. Great board and great overdrive choice heh heh

Hey, selfimperfectionist, how did you get that board that clean?! That's the cleanest board I've ever seen! Do I see power supply plugs in there? Good stuff.

I'll post a pic of my board tomorrow for a gig, after that it's all studio for some weeks for me so I'll start a thread on that soon.

Boss FV-100 volume > Fuzz-of-the-week [Fulltone 69 in place of the Experience right now] > Bi-Comprossor > RC Boost > TC Nova Mod > Analogman TS9 > Texas Two Step > Brown Rabbit > TBIAC > TC Nova Delay

The BiComp (Ross side), RC and TBIAC are always on, not adding much gain or volume, but they do wonders in conditioning the signal, maintaining treble, body and definition through to the amp. I rarely use the TS9 by itself, but it's great for pushing the TTS or Rabbit.

Some of the other fuzzes I pop into that slot are Fuzz Factory, Soulbender, '70, Frantone Sweet, and even an Ibanez FZ7 (which has a great "broken" setting).

The TC pedals are new additions, and I dig them a lot -- the Mod is two pedals in one, and you can get some really creative stuff happening: trem + vibrato synced, two trems not synced, phase + flange, double choruses, etc. -- sky's the limit! The delay sounds great, and does most of the L6 DL4 stuff without the drawbacks (like volume drop and sometimes mushy sound).

I don't play live now, so this is set up to sound good in my home studio -- to sound "loud" (and even get feedback) at pretty low volumes. 90% of the time, I plug in a Fender '63 Tele Relic; my amps (run clean) are a Mission 5E3 Deluxe (Weber ceramic Blue), Fargen Epic 30 (into Jenkins cab w/2 Weber alnico Blues) and Fender Custom Vibrolux Reverb (modified, w/Celestion Vintage 10s).

YES! This one is awesome. Pretty similar to my big board.

Hi Sladdi!

So there have been a few changes since we met at Euro Tone Fest - how are things shaping up?

Hey Chris, I was thinking of you today... when I bought the new G&B and saw the test of the Komet 60 Big Grin
You're right, there've been a few changes... and this is the essence of a long pedal search'n'try. I'm very happy with that board - all I need and the best I found.
Apart from that there is of course some more stuff: Barbers, MI Audios, McFuzz, several Lovepedals, the DiaBlue (never really liked it, sorry...). I still have the MAZ Sr and use it alot. My actual speaker choices are Weber Alnico Bluedog or Ceramic Silver Bell in oversized 1x12" Mojo Cabs. Some new guitars (Rock N Roll Relics Tele w/ Budz, Duesenberg Starplayer II). Seems that I'm set for the next time - good point to concentrate more on playing skills Wink

Good to hear from you!
Later

I'll bring it over at the next jam...if I can figure out how to carry it over...

you see the Parachute Wah is quite tall, so the Pedaltrain case won't close! Frown

hey thanks!

I just spent ages thinking about it, sizes of effects pedals...which ones I'd like on there etc. I drew out layouts on the computer, thought about placement etc

it worked out pretty well in the end. I would of liked to have my Zvex Tremolo Probe on there too, but the Parachute Wah won the spot.

the power supplu is underneath...it's a Flatliner Six

Well, now that I have received my pedaltrain-2 with the built-in PPII, I have added a B.K. Butler Tube Driver and an Octron II to my board #1 (apologize for the lack of tidiness of the board and poor quality of the pic but I just got it and hastily put it all together):

I am working on board #2 now....

I'm diggin' the tones from my board, but the Orange Squeezer clone will probably leave for the KOT clone Headshot is sending me. I never get along with comps.

Here's the Supro 25

And the only two guitars I've kept out of the 14 I had a year ago

When I ran 100 watters with a Tele, I used 3-4 dirt boxes, but the Supro has beautiful overdrive on it's own. Also, fuzzes seem to get lost in a live mix with humbuckers and a low watt amp.

I also found myself using a T-Rex Mudhoney 90% of the time for drive. The TCE VDD is really a reboxed T-Rex DR. Swamp, which is a dual-channel Mudhoney. TCE has discontinued the VDD, and they sell for about $70 used (they were $260 new!!). It's a mosfet distortion, and it cleans up nice with a guitar's volume knob.

Got the new TurboTuner (and like it!),
picked up a Diamond Phaser (and like it!),
the White Dragon is up for sale, and my RMC3LE might go up for sale as well (need to raise some dough for an unexpected trip) and a Nova Delay will round out the chain.

For now, that's going into a Celtic Amp Austin - a really nice SE 6V6 amp with a 12" speaker. A loud 7 watts or so.

Yeah...last pedal in, first pedal out.
I gotta raise some cash for one, maybe two, trips back to Wyoming to see Gramps before he passes.
So that and the wah are disposable I guess.

Wouldn't dream of selling the ScrewDriver. Big Grin
That's my baby.

If I may, LN?....

The Suchus Lethi is a custom box that Skred made for 'Nerve. Cosmetics aside, it's a Screw Driver; but the 2 previously only side-hole accessible trimpots have been moved to the top of the box with actual pots. Giving you full, convenient control of the pedal's parameters without having to break out the mini screw driver (rimshot).

Sorry again to hear about gramps, C.

I think this thread keeps getting better as it goes!!! Lots of interesting pairings, especially Creosote's board with so many modulation pedals. Very cool stuff there!! Also, that Supro is really an eye-catcher. I was wondering just how crunchy the overdrive gets, since you mentioned it.

Hey Ben C, i thought you were a Box of Rock guy, what happened there? I'm probably 10 months behind (this being pedal world and all)....

My board has never been such a mess, would love to post here but i'm in a full-on, post-buying frenzy fight to the death in the overdrive department. All i'm sure of is my COT and DBD sounded really good all by there lonesome thru my little Champ the last couple days.

cheers, keep 'em comin!!
