has anyone used it? how is the distortion? is it anything like a rectifier?

I used one for about 2 months. It's not a bad overdrive pedal but I didn't get it for an overdrive pedal. I assumed it was the poor man's rectifier but it didn't cut it for me. I've since found there's no easy, cheap way out. If you want the rectifier sound, bite the bullet and lay down the $1100. It's the only way.

Same for me, but I owned mine because I thought that was the kind of distortion I wanted. The pedal will color the tone of your amp and make it more "Boogie" sounding, but to substitute a preamp pedal for a Dual Rectifier amp won't work in my opinion.
To its credit, it gave my former amp (Hot Rod Deville 4x10) a good kick. Still wasn't a Boogie though.

I had the rack - mount version for a little while but was never really satisfied with it . Sold it about a year later . It definately didn't sound like a Recto . More like the Mk. series .
