It's supposed to get you to send $199 to Sean at Lovepedal.

So many pedals, so little time...

Looks like ot's supposed to do like the small wattage vintage amp cranked thing(Like an old Supro,Valco, Magnatone, etc) and also do the huge headroom high powered Tweed Twin thing as well.

Interesting, but I could be wrong

"Nothing comes close to the sound of the old combos... except this pedal of course"
I seen that guy in the early days and he just looked ghetto with simple designs & low price tags and now Lovepedal is the cat's behind. He regularly replaces or modifies his whole lineup so nobody can ever catch up to the fact that his pedals (while good) are still just pedals that you could make yourself if you had the time & inclination to tinker with circuits. He's a brilliant marketer from the Mike Fuller school of business except better -always finding the one thing you HAVE TO have and selling his prototypes as "custom one-offs" on ebay. Yawn is right! Guess I have a beef don't I?

Sean is a brillant marketer, but a crappy pedal designer. Sloppy construction, and weak fit and finish. And lets not get George going on the new SMT stuff.

You know what... he seems to have sold a bunch of Lovepedals. More power to him.

I apmost think Sean is better than Mike...Fulltone dares you to be able to do with out it...Lovetone makes it seem like the Holy Grail in a box ( or at least the Holy Grail shaped light over the castle full of virgins...Monty Python fans, anyone, anyone,Bueller, Bueller...)ther should be a church quire singing in the background when you click on that link... Maybe we should start something together, aren't you playing with circuits yourself Wink I stopped thinkering with circuits because it was taking too much of my time and I wasn't getting any real fun out of that. What I really liked was desiging it, getting the box ready and painted/finished and fitting it in once wired and populated.

Yo man, I'm way ahead of you. Well not really. Me
& a friend are exploring the intricacies of DIY lately. If we do get somewhere we can market the most canadian of pedals (hockey logos on box?) or have a separatist line in French only. L'Hostil Drive? Thick as poutine... I'm a little stale this morning, it's early but I'll get more ideas when I finish this coffee Smile

I would but I absolutely refuse to even enter that place anymore. I've been "TGP Free" for quite awhile now and it feels good.

I like my Eternity pedal and it has been on my board since the day I bought it. That said, how many frickin' versions of the pedal are there? I tried to get one as a back up and the damn thing didn't sound the same. Over at TGP with all the Lovepedal worshipers that's a good thing.

I guess my experience has been quite different than yours- I've found that both the Eternity and 200 lbs have ended my searches for an OD and fuzz. I don't really know much about Lovepedal or Sean, and frankly, I've never cared about the builder's personality when it comes to buying stuff. All I know is that both pedals (to my ears) sound great, and fit both my amps & guitars in a way that no others have.

Different strokes, right? Smile
