The current run of the MXR DYna Comp is very inexpensive. Is there something wrong with it?

Yes. The way it sounds. Roll Eyes

Hi,

THey sound "ok" and can be made to sound "good"

The problem with the MXR reissues is the construction - lousy, jamming jacks
mounted to the circuit board along with all the other parts (switch, pots,
ac jack, etc).

This makes it a poor use of money to modify them, as they can't be made true
bypass (switch is mounted to the board) and they are not going to sound that
great even with some mods.

A much better use of money and time is to get a real MXR pedal, which
will sound good stock, has good jacks, and can easily be made
true bypass, or add an LED and/or power jack. And they are not
expensive and will go up in value, unlike a new dunlop pedal
which is worth half what you paid after you take it home.

Have fun!
