Why doesn't this pedal get talked about more? I pulled mine out the other night and put it back on the pedal board and can't for the life of me figure why I had it off there. I did a serious head to head between it and my MJM Blues Devil a while back, and though the Blues Devil had a slight edge on top end clarity, I absolutely LOVE what the OD-820 does to the bottom end on a strat. I also found myself bumping the nobs on the Blues Devil, not a problem with the OD-820. And the Maxon has it hands down as far as construction is concerned. Dang, I was gettin' some killer blues/rock OD tones with that puppy. I always remember liking it, just not sure why I didn't have it on the board more. I think it'll be there for a while now.

So many pedals, so little time...

I've never heard one in person but the sound samples at godlyke are great! I guess it just doesn't have that boutique appeal. And the darn things are so big. I think the DS-830 samples are happening too!

I seem to remember some talk a while back that many felt it was a killer alternative to the Klon Centaur. I didn't think it was quite as transparent a clean boost as the Klon (some others disaggreed) but it floored the Klon as an OD pedal, no competition. It's certainly no bigger footprint than the Klon.

I've never really got on the clean boost bandwagon. I use pedals for there OD. My problem is that all My pedals are big. Right now I have a Rumble Mod, a Sparkle Drive,a Wah, an H2O chorus and a soon to be working HotBox. Not enough realestate on My pedalboard. Frown
