I'll start - I'm goin' with a Trussart Steeldeville w/ a Bigsby
or
a Les Paul w/ a Bigsby

My next guitar would be a Gibson Les Paul, cause I never had one.
I always thought they were too heavy and that´s the reason I never got one.
I actually been thinking my next buy would be a Les Paul. Not sure which one..

I´m also very interested in a Suhr tele or strat.

just saw a video from a guy who makes custom straps...he was saying that he gets requests from LP players for extra padding...he said " My usual reaction is to tell them to put on their big girl panties and play that thing..."

Gibson Les Paul standard (but from custom shop see...)

-satin clear finish
-spalted maple carved top
-Mahogany neck
-50s style neck
-zebra open coil humbuckers
-chrome hardware

Nothing that fancy except for the custom top Big Grin

Oh and a twin brother with p90 Wink

Hmmmm....

I guess my list would start with a VOS Les Paul Junior Double Cut with one P-90 in TV Yellow (so I can finally carry out those Paul Westerberg/Johnny Thunders fantasys sans heroin)

Next I wouldn't say no to the new 2008 Custom Shop Tele Nocaster featuring a heavily worn sunburst with a black guard and a baseball bat of a neck.

A Trussart Steeltop in worn creme with worn black skulls on the pickguard would be deliteful.

And just because I've always wanted one I'd get a kick out of a Dan Armstrong lucite guitar.

I'd also need two new amps for these babies, so I'd get the reissue Vibroverb and a Swart Atomic Space Tone.

The one guitar i GAS for that is totally out of my price range, so much that i really don't even consider the possibility of ever owning....

Gibson SG Eliot Easton - Pelham Blue with the trem arm.

I'd maybe pair that with a Matchless.

Here in reality, i'm looking for the perfect Nash Strat and an AST. Still a ways down the road i think.....

cheers

I've got the Strat, Tele and LP thing covered; also a Jerry Jones Danelectro and a couple of great acoustics. If I had the moolah, the next guitar would be a Gretsch Setzer hotrod (w/ TV JOnes pu's), maybe in purple or that sick candy-lime. I like a big-body guitar for rock-a-billy stuff, but I want one with a bit of flash.

Just to try them, I'd like a Tueffel, a Troussart, a Huber, or maybe a Roukangas. Just because they're not anything I would usually run into. So, I'm pretty curious. And, all 4 are really unique.

"Daydream", money no object - a real '59 LP.

A little more realistic "daydream" - 1950's ES-5 (not a switchmaster).

Potentially doable, though not right now 'daydream' - a big ol hollow Gretsch w/bigsby.

Nice choices Ken!

If I was going for a true 'money no object' dream guitar I would have to pick a real deal '52 Telecaster...

Yeah, I definitely thought about a '52 or '53 blackguard. I didn't put in the "money no object" column as you can still get one for under $250,000.00 - LOL!!!

Love that spalted top.

I'll say what I'm gassing for

PRS dogs bollocks spec, flames, gold, the lot.

However I've never bought what I gas for so I'd probably buy an ash Telecaster...
