I had one, good delay. Has some unique features. But if you're looking for an analog sound, the DMM and AD999 have spoiled me for anything else.
I also had there Flip Tremolo- which I liked even more than the Echo. Guyatone maes good stuff.

Well I am pretty impressed after playing more with this pedal. There IS an effect on my tone, but it is really minor. It's as if the buffer is affecting my dry tone a little, making it a smidge brighter. The repeats are the same though, no different than the original signal. I will definitely try a lower gain tube, I have lots of them. A minor quibble is that the mix knob doesn't seem to work all that well. Some have said the repeats can be made louder than the dry signal, I don't hear it. Maybe the knobs are interactive?
From memory, I would say that the sound is on par with my Blackbox Quicksilver which I loved but sold 8 or 9 months ago because it was worth more to me as cash at the time (another very pricey one). I'd say this TD-X has roughly the same sound quality with a similar versatility (wet/dry outs) minus the QS modulation which I loved but never used much. I got this pedal for a song so that definitely plays a role in my overall satisfaction! The price of a new one is a little too high IMO. Still better than most analog units but it does offer more delay time. It's also smaller than I thought it would be, same footprint as a Barber pedal. I'm not a huge delay user, but that's partly because I hadn't found a unit that really pleased me. This one's good enough to take the place of reverb on non-reverb amps and that's saying alot. Next is to test it beside a T-Rex Replica.
