Just got an Arion FAT chorus (SFC1)and it sounds amazing-Im shocked and especially after the Microvibe in the chain, I had been using an Ibanez digital chorus, with nice results- but the Arion is just what the Microvibe needed....Im curious about the difference between the Fat chorus/the SCH-1 and the sch-Z ithink its called, I know the SCH1s are from Japan, Zs are Japan design made in Sri Lanka as is the SFC1--- it also does a nice leslie, which Ive heard the SCH1 does not,,,,,,,

I never tried the Fatchorus, but have all ther rest. 1.Arion SCh-1 made in Japan= 1 to 10 a solid 9 The best IMO 2.Sch-1 madein Sri Lanka=good but no wher near as as good as the Japan one, less shimmer, more swooshy flanger like.Sleightly more volume boost when on. A 7 3.Sch-z my least favorite,Vol boost, different tone knob which doesnt act like a EQ more like a volume knob, lacks the magic of the japan SC-1.Better than some Bosses but still gets a 6.
Well while trolling thru music stores yesterday I found an SCH1 (japan) and snagged it, and it really sounds good.... but I actually like the Fat chorus better---It sounds more like a leslie, which I guess is what they were going for, the chorus on the fat is not so symetrical, and the tone control is weird in that it kind of boost a hump so you can make it do the bass bump like a leslie......
