Anyone know of an amp that has a good clean channel that you can set to two different volumes and switch between them with a footswitch? Does it exist?

Dale Sherlock in Aus makes a "Fat Head" fender style 6L6 (can be made into a combo) that has a footswitchable master volume, with volume controls for both A and B volume. It works really great when you just want more......

Its an idea that I cant belive other ampmakers arent all over

Most black face Fenders have two channels that you could A/B switch between. New Mesa's have a 'boost' function on all there channels - clean included.

I've thought about this too...

Why couldn't you do a concentric pot, with 2 different volumes and then some kinda relay and ....well I guess it gets complicated.

Looks like the combo doesn't have the dual masters? His price list is from 2002 so maybe there are new models?

Rivera has a "NINJA BOOST" on there amps that boosts the clean channel. It is also footswitchable. Most think the Ninja Boost is too loud but with a simple mod a volume can be added to control the Ninja Boost.

I would try a clean boost myself with your favorite clean amp. There are many clean boost to choose from.

most 2rocks have a boost switch that bypasses the tone stack that works on the clean and lead channels.

So do Fuchs.... Don't forget the midboost as well. That is 3 volumes and timbres on the cleans. Smile

Ah well, I can't afford an expensive amp right now anyway.... I recently bought a T. Miranda Boost made in Brazil, it's a good clean non-coloring boost, I'll try it out on the 17th at a gig. Probably be fine.
