I am officially on the Distortion Pro bandwagon after getting mine. Thanks for all the tips on dialing those tones in. This is a massive big ass toned box! Chunka chunka chunka. Wait! Now I gotta sound like a violin!

I have a dp on order but would like to know the sonic capabilities of this pedal- not too many people are reporting on it other than they love it or hate it. How heavy a sound does it get? Could I get away with it as a primary distortion pedal for heavier types of music(chugging chords ala Judas Priest) or is mostly a lead sound? How versatile is it- can it get SRV tones as well as EJ tones? Your help is much appreciated. Lew

How is the sustain on the Distortion Pro? Can you get endless, compressed sustain?

Tons of gain but it's clear. Kinda fuzz the way it came out of the box but when I did the presets it went away. Heavy distortion but it just kills on the low notes. This voicing knob is cool. I'm having a ball going through all the sounds which are many. It is the best distortion box I have ever played.

Yup SRV and EJ are both in this box. Bet they don't have much room in there together. This box is a weapon for sure.

I would love to really hear one of these. The sound clips from Fulltones site suck. I can't believe that they have not been upgraded to sound like his other samples yet.

Troy you are right about the examples on his site. They are very muddy. Gotta hear this one in person to appreciate it. You could spend hours twiddling these switches but there is gold in them thar switches!

Dipswitch, you are probably right on with that. Any "new" OD or Distortion stirs my curiosity, thats for sure.

Found a pretty good review of the DP, check it out.

Thanks for the heads-up on that nice review. I agree 100% with it. The more I play my Distortion Pro the more I love this thing. Damn good pedal. No, damn great pedal.

I'd be interested in purchasing it from you, e-mail me at uttad99@earthlink.net with necessary info. Thanks. Just curious, did you buy it and not like it?

Well, that was quick! It sold in about 5 minutes. I had at least 10 people respond.
It just didn't quite float my boat. I've been on the hunt for some time for the "right" dist/overdrive for me. I've tried the Dist. Pro, Zinky True Grit, Blackstone Mosfet, Tonebone Hot British, Dyna Red, Blues Pearl Perplexed, and an old Rat that I have had for awhile. At this point I'm using the Rat. I'm leaning toward the Tonebone. The Zinky is pretty cool. I'd like to try the Banzai Fireball but so far haven't been able to find one.

Last night I assembled a clone of the Jordan BossTone. Wow! Sustain & gain like a mofo, pardon my French. With the amp's volume knob at zero, & the pedal set kind of high, I could hear it well enough for low volume practicing. Now I just need to paint & decorate it & I'll be set.
