I just received my POG from Teddy and the good news is it sounds great! It really is very musical, from modest to wild (a pretty darn good organ sound at full tilt). It seems to keep the original guitar tone intact as it adds octaves up and/or down.
The bad news is the noise floor is just too much for me. When I say noise floor I mean all sliders down with no input or output, just the pedal engaged ->>> plenty-o-hiss. It appears to be inherent in the design as an EH rep answered my email by saying "The POG does make noise". It's too bad, cause it's gonna be hard to use it in a quiet (non-band) type setting. My last EH purchase was in 1979 - the Small Stone sounded great but was really noisy - hum, I guess not much has changed.

I also played one and I did think it was reasonable as far as noise goes but thought it sounded so digital I saw o's and 1's coming from the amp. It does a passable digital organ simulation w/ the detuned pitches up.

Yes, I'd say the sound is cold, but mixed at low to medium levels I'm happy to have something that works well to fill out chords without being too squirrelly. But the noise and the hiss - oh my. To my ears, the POG produces 3 or 4 times the hiss of my noisiest pedals. My two worst offenders are the Voodoo Analog Chorus and Micro Vibe, I live with their noise because they provide analog warmth and it's not too too bad. I don't know if I can live with POG's constant shower of digital hisssssssss.

I haven't heard the POG yet. But I can tell you this. The Rastop Super divider is not noisy. And it is warm and analog. And it's MXR sized. And its about 50$ cheaper; made by hand. Accept no subsitutes.
