Is the song you are talking about "Kites"?

I think the arrangement, textures, and mix are pretty cool. The organ (patch?) sits in there nicely. Some of the effected vocal treatments are a bit over-the-top for my tastes, but they work for the tune. The solo is good, but it almost sounds like there was an attempt to display some chops at the end. I think I'd like to hear the ride resolved with more of the earlier conversational phrasing approach. What I really like a lot is the slide guitar stuff. It sounds brash and rude in a cool way. How was the slide recorded? Overall, very nice job, thanks for posting.

It was 'Kites'. Thanks Corleone. The slide tones were done through a Dean Dobro the producer picked up for like 2-300 bucks into this little amp called an Alamo, turned up really loud. Yeah, I'm still getting used to the solo, not just in the end phrasing but in overall tone. I'm not sure whatever that post-modulation stuff is necessary...

I liked the kind of ethereal, laid back feel and I agree with Corleone, the textures and the mix are cool.

Is that you singing, too? I like your voice. I really like "Kites". I'm digging the other tunes, too. But, I haven't heard them all yet. Kites has a nice hook. Plus, I like the mix and the tones. Sounds like something that would be a good seller. Have you tried putting anything up on one of the online "Markets" like TuneCore or MyMp3.com?
