I got to mess with one at my local shop for about half an hour. A very very cool pedal. It's odd at first because you're not actually stepping on anything, but i got used to it pretty quickly. The effects you can get from it are varied and awesome. Although if you're looking just to do kinda standard wah stuff, a teese wah might be a better bet. the wah probe can certainly do that, but you'd never really stretch it. But if you want to go outside the box, the probe is it I think. I can't even imagine having a delay set up after it...that would just be awesome.

I've been using mine for awhile. I love it. It can do the standard wah sounds, but I like to use it to get more subtle shifts in tone color. A little wave of the foot here-and-there, or a little tapping on the edge of the plate, there are many ways to express yourself with it.

I think the tone of the thing is awesome. Slightly synth like compared to a Teese, Dunlop, Vox, etc but that works for me. GREAT funk wah. It doesn't have as monstrous a sweep as my old colorsound but the range it does have is very usable-no wasted space. (The bass end of the colorsound is to much. Not really usable.) I find it cuts through either fuzz, distortion, or clean with equal clarity. I had a big problem with Teese wahs cutting through fuzz and ods. Just didn't sound good with my setup. One reason i think it cuts through with great clarity in any situation is the fact that it is powered by a SHO. The theramin thing is cool but has caused me problems when I want to engage another pedal when the wah is on. (The sound will get all murky until you get your foot back to the wah.) If I use it extensively in any given situation my foot does get tired. Not as easy for me to use continuously. Usually I use wah sporadically and can usually gig without it if i need to but we have a funk tune we've been doing lately which sounds great with the wah probe. Problem is I'm having a helluva time trying to sing and strum and operate the wah accurately. Still all in all its the most musical wah I've used. (Dunlops, Voxes, all the Teeses, Budda+, old Colorsound) I've held onto the old colorsound because it has a pretty unique vibe. The wah probe is kinda like that. It has a unique vibe that most folks are going to take or leave. I don't think classic rock type guys are going to like it as much as a teese-it's not for everyone.

I been thinking about getting one (and the volume probe) for a while now, as the seek wah is the only wah I have tried that doesnt freak my fuzz factory completly out when put before it, and they share the same wah guts. Plus thermins are so dam cool!

I've got a plain old Vox V847 before my Fuzz Factory, BUT it has the FoxRox mod in it that allows it to be more effective before fuzz pedals.

It works like a charm. Even my Fuzz Factory is under control when I am wah-ing now. If you've got an old wah laying around you might want to look into it.
