I just received my Baby Blue OD this weekend and I have to say this is the first (and maybe the last) overdrive pedal I have been/will ever be this excited about...blew my mind. Sustain forever...super transparent and smooth...easy to dial in the sound. I'm hesitant to compare this to any other pedal but I guess thats the only way to express the difference between "similar" pedals...
Ok, you can may be able to compare it a FD2 or a TS-808, TS9...imagine what you've read about these aforementioned pedals and figured you would "try" them by trading up or buying reissues. Well, I just sold my FD2 because I wasn't convinced with my own ears that it was all it was cracked up to be. And I'm glad I did (I'm not trying to promote BB for sales...definitely for sound...I'm just super excited and blown away...and the owner is very responsive, helpful and enthusiastic) ,the Baby Blue sounds f##cking incredible. Sounds so clear as an overdrive...no mush...no interference with your tone. Now, given that...it also depends on the guitar and amp your using (obviously). I ran it through my 72 Les Paul/68 Super Reverb...simply amazing. I'm sure other combinations sound just as good, if not better.
I still would like to hear a Blues Devil because I was very close to buying one as well. Would love to hear the two side by side...although I'm sure the BD is in a sound league of its own, the Baby Blue is what I've been looking for.
This is it for me...this pedal sounds incredible. For once, a pedal that suits me 100%...

I agree, Drew. Just got mine this weekend and it's a superb OD pedal! It's the closest pedal I've heard to the Dumble sound.

I also got the Baby Blue OD recently and have had a MJM Blues Devil for a while. I did a brief comparison of the two pedals on this site below under topic "Baby Blue and Auralux Clear." These two OD's are going to be the only ones I use for quite a while.
