One of the small local guitar shops near me is closing down today and halving everything in the store. they have this tube works real tube II there for $120. it is a nice looking rack unit with switchable channels and separate eq's. i was just wondering if any of you have ever owned/played thru one of these. if so, i'd appreciate whatever comments you have on it.

p.s. already checked hc for reviews

thanks in advance!

Sounds good to me. I have the pedal version of the Blue Tube by the same company, which goes for about the same amount of money in hte catalogs. That unit is quite useful to me for warming the tone in various applications.

Hi eric,

this might sound stoopid to you, but if you plan on buying anything from that out of business sale....

I would be interested in getting their promotional picks thso ewith store name and phoen imprinted on them... if you can manage to get me a few I'd of course repay you for it... since they're closing they'd probably give those away as or so...

Here's my email, contact me if you feel like it; glorbz@hotmail.com

glorbz, i'd do that for you if they had any. they were a little mom and pap deal. i think they also sold motorcycle parts and leather jackets there also. i have been going in there since i was 10. i have great memories of plugging into old silvertone amps and jamming out to hey joe in their single, smoke filled showroom. saaaab.

anyway, i bought the real tube and it sounds good, especially with both channels going in stack mode. it reminds me of david la pink floyd. it is a little noisy which bothers me becase it is brand new. i think i might have it too close to my amp or something.
