Dig that Ashbory Bass! Love it, in fact. I've been wanting one of those, since they came out.

I've been told it's a Puerto Rican Quatro. That's in dire need of a set-up by the way, intonation is off and one fret just kinda.. doesn't work.. Cool thingamajig though.

Here is most of my guitars.
The oldest is a Bazouki that I got back in 1969.
The SG is second oldest and my first real guitar that I got in 1972.

Not sure if anybody else has noticed, or not, but Gibson appears to have changed their logos over the years. I am guessing the change came about when Gibson went with the CNC machines but I don't know for sure.

Anyway, here is a pic of my old and new Gibson logos.

Top logo is 1972 and bottom logo is 2008.
Notice how it looks more like GibSun now.
The "i" is thicker as is the dot on top.
The "b" does not completely touch.
The "S" is a lot thicker
The "O" is more narrow now, looks like a "U" and the hook on the end of the "n" is not as long.

Just an observation

Regards,
George

Yup, Gibson did change. You will sometimes hear people talk about open "O" and "B" on Gibson logos.

G&L ASAT Bluesboy. Never been much into flames and quilt tops but this one has a great 3-d quality and the guitar plays and sounds tits. Triple bound, birdseye maple neck and ebony board. (Pics courtesy of previous owner Jay)
