Just curious if anyone has used both of these pedals. I have a fat boost now and I like it alot but I like the fact that the germ has an additional od boost. I guess my question is does the Germ clean boost as well as the fat boost without altering tone and does the Germ do that slight dirt sound in channel 2(ala Tom Petty)? All thoughts appreciated!

I havenÂ’t used the Fat Boost, so I donÂ’t know how it compares to the PE Germ.
My guitar arrived yesterday, and I’be been trying it with some of my pedals (mainly the Captain Coconut and RMC-3). I‘ll give the Germ a try tomorrow and will keep you posted.

Dean, the Germ is pretty much a very transparent clean boost, with the addition of a second, slightly overdriven channel. It is impressive, but you have to be careful, since it can be VERY loud.
I just love the way it sounds with the Kinmans.
