I have a Blackstone S2V3, a Mosferatu Mini Mos, BBOD, and a DRD on the way. I think of the Mini Mos and the DRD as more distortion than OD, but the Blackstone and the BBOD are excellent. All MXR sized boxes. Also I get killer OD type things from Ge fuzzes when you back the guitar down. You have to coax them a bit but the payoff is nice. Older Diaz and the Analogman Sunface are both excellent at this. Pedalworx has the Neo, the Dirty Angel, and the Tour Pro, which I believe are all MXR sized boxes.

Hi mapleneck,
I agree with everything you said about the Sun Face and any of Bob McBroom's pedals. In fact just yesterday I came across a KILLER OD sound using a Hot (Ge) McFuzz that sounding nothing short of astronomical! And the guitar's volume was slightly down... right.
As far as other ODs are concerned one cannot leave the BJF Electronics Red Rooster Booster out of this discussion either. One of the best rock n roll boosters ever made.
