Does anyone know, for sure, if the new EVH Phase 90 is true bypass?
Thanks

According to Jayson Ocampo at Dunlop, the answer is yes. Dunlop calls it "hard wire bypass". The switch routes the signal directly from the input jack to the output jack in bypass mode. I did several "tests" on this and found absolutely no tone degradation from the EVH.

Did you try the "battery" test? Take the battery out of the pedal and see if your signal passes through when the pedal is off?

A friend of mine owns the Zakk Overdrive and it passes this test. According to R. Keeley, this is a good indication of "true bypass" among some other tests as well.

Ever tried this test with a SparkleDrive? The one I had years ago didn't pass this test...one of those "things that make you go hmmm"
