I'm living in Nashville at the moment. I'd like to take a trip down to Atlanta sometime this summer for multiple reasons, one of which would be to see some of you guys play. I know Corleone and WillieBuddha are down there...

So Atlanta folks... What's your summer gig schedule look like? I'll have to come out and buy you folks a beer or nine.

Looking at the little black book here, looks like I don't have anything in midtown for the next month or so... everything's on the outer perimeter of the city or further out. However, if you could dig not driving all the way to Atlanta, and hanging (and playing if you like) at a greasy little north Georgia honky tonk, let me know! One little dive that I'll be playing is 4.5 miles from my duo partner's house; if you're so inclined, we could probably put you up for the night.

What do you have going on in Nashville? I'll be playing a very short set in your town this coming Tuesday. I think the place is called "Cadillac Ranch".

One other thing about Atlanta, since you're considering a trek: Interstate I-75 has been an absolute nightmare for the past couple of years. It's often actually worse on the weekends, what with road construction and limited available lanes. Sometimes it's worse southbound into the city, sometimes worse northbound. A few years back, I could always count on a leisurely drive back into the city on a Sunday afternoon, following a gig further north on the previous evening, but it's always a crapshoot anymore. A seventy mile drive into or out of the city has taken me three or more hours to complete on numerous recent occasions, so I do a bunch of my driving in the wee hours of the morning as to avoid the crap. Atlanta is the new Hotel California: you can check out, but you can never leave.

Check in with http://www.georgia-navigator.com/ before planning a drive into the city, as it can be a helluva mess down here these days.

I'll be in Nashville for (at least) the next two years. I'm starting grad school at Vanderbilt in the fall.

I'll be playing in ATL on August 22. I'll also be in Nashvegas on July 25 at the Exit/In. It is really close to Vandy. Come out and see me play!

Yep, I'll be the guy with the mandolin, the two teles, and the harmonica. Thanks for the offer, but proper protocol is for the guy that's playing to buy a beer for the patron that's kind enough to come out and listen! If you can stop by, I'll buy you a beverage. I've played Tootsie's Wild Orchid Lounge as well as Fuel on Broadway, but never Cadillac Ranch.
