Hey! i just got one of these today. After watching the video of Mr. blues i was impressed with the tone he was getting with it. But we all know how that goes most of the time with sound clips on the net.
Placement, First i tryed it with my pedalboard. crybaby classic, deja vibe, compressor, overdrives, time based fx. I thought fuzz pedals liked first in line so i tryed it there first.it sounded terrible. it had to be 3rd in line . After the vibe? This is the same place i put my ods. It does not like to be run with ods and you sure wont need the compressor.2/3/4 on the tweak knob is where i found the best tones. Hot and nasty but still smooth evenorder kinda tones. The videos did'nt lie. It worked great with the wah/vibe,tc chorus and dd3. Backing off the guitar vol did'nt bring out anything special but opened up i could hear alot of good stuff coming through. All in all? yeah i like it.

Has'nt anybody else try this pedal yet? I'll tell ya, When your od aint enough and most distortions pedals sound like shit to ya, this is the pedal to get. This thing has smooth EJ/ gilmore tones in it. There is no buzz saw shit going on either. You can get a good (guess who/no time thing going on also. On the last 2 positions on the tweak knob is where you can back off your guitar volume and it cleans nicely or wide open it saturarates so much you'll get some funny shit going on with the bass notes almost like a pumping compressor kinda way. I've tryed two other fuzzes in the past, the fulltone octafuzz and the mcfuzz. I did'nt like either one of them. The fuzz in them were pretty much the same - the ring modulation. It must have a good buffer in it also because it does'nt have to be first in line. I can also crank it down some and push it with my od9 for a hotter ts. I'm still messin with it to see what else it can do. But with what i've already found tone wise with it, its found a place on my board. With the new wah i got this thing will just go crazy ( in a hendrix kinda way. This is one bad ass fuzz!

Haven't tried the Tweak Fuzz, so thanks for the reviews. I did see the video and it seemed Blues Saraceno was having to run the volume pot all the way up to achieve unity gain. So, I've always been curious how much volume this pedal really has on tap.

thats about right, i have to run mine 3/4 the way up. I guess the other fuzzez i talked about were not ment for a clean amp but for a booster into a amp thats already cooking on its own. Thats why they sounded like a$$ when i checked them out. Well , thats my guess anyway.
next on my list is the gypsy fuzz.

It amazes me that something with so little in it can sound so good. Anybody that can solder a bit should be able to build a fuzzface clone. It might be a cool thing to try.

I had one for a while. Blues' video does a pretty good job showing what the pedal can do. I found it to be very useful for recording, but not so great with my band. I had to move it around on my board to find the quietest spot for it, but then that messed up the balance of where I had my other pedals to my liking. However, when used by itself for recording it was very cool to tweak different sounds. I traded it towards a pedal I wanted badly but I can always pick another TF later on. A cool little pedal for less than $100.

I've not used it out with the band yet so things may change. But in my jam room i've had no problems with noise unless my compressor is on. I also have 2 other ods on my board and i have it placed after them. I dont notice any balance problems in its placement. I got the house to myself today so i may crank the amp up today and see if there's any changes. Cool

LOL! the y and the t are side by side hehehe my typeing and spelling both stink!

Yeah! there are some balance problems and things can get a little mushy. eyes just getten lost in the fuzz Eek colors started coming out of the face of the amp. Then i had a visitation. The image of a black man with a medium afro apeared. He handed me some tiny paper squares and said Here! take all of these and you can play like me and frank marino. Then the room started pumping in and out, Like the size of the room was changeing. The amp started to feedback then my hand slid down the E string and foxy lady started coming from my fingers Eek I've been blessed ! i've been blessed! Then all of a sudden i was taken to the top of a mountain and there waiting for me was the biggest marshall stack ever. A strat and a flying V. I plugged in and the sound just thundered all over the world. I played (billy dont be a hero dont be a fool with your life) Then babes fell from the sky and started chaseing me grabing at my pants with sucking noises coming from their mouths. I screamed ah-------------------------- Then i woke up and took the fuzz and put it back in the box as quickly as i could! wew! no more of that for me! i'm going back to ods Wink

I bought one of these from Guitar Center a while back and ended up returning it within a week. It has a few decent sounds, but it was pretty noisy and the base sound of the unit wasn't something I really grooved on. I actually preferred my modified Dunlop Fuzz Face over the Tweak Fuzz, so I took it back.
