Hey all. I created this site so guitarists can upload vids! It is pretty much a clone of Youtube. Let me know what you think, and create an account if interested. I have a few vids uploaded, but I might start from scratch and removed them soon. I created this site for a graduate class project.

Dude, brilliant! I hope it catches on and you make billions! I can't wait to see what people upload on it. I'll create an account when I get a chance.

The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.

That's awesome. You should have categories for gear reviews and maybe Bass and other guitar related instruments too.

You, or anyone for that matter, can create categories when you upload videos. You can create your own tags as well.

Are you compressing the video files when you get them or will you show them in the resolution you get them in. Or will you have a 'low res' version and a 'Watch In High Res' link like YouTube does?

I can get you a few videos that were shot in HD. Will they be displayed in HD?

Here are links sto the videos in YouTube:

Little Wing Intro Lesson

Wind Cries Mary - Outro from Monterey Lesson

Lover Man Intro Lesson

Let me know, obviously the HD versions will take MUCH longer for me to upload but if you can display them I would rather have those out there.

Hey! Those are awesome tutorials man!

OK. Due to limited server space, your videos cannot excede over 20 MB each. That still is a pretty good size. I'm sure I might beef up my space latter, but when I first started this project it was for a grade. Now, I've decided to see what happens to the site.

Can't do HD yet, or Hi/Low Versions yet.

I'd love for you to upload those vids if you can. You have to create an account first.

I know there is this one site that you can download YouTube videos, and convert them into flv files. Do a google search for Download YouTube videos. I can do it for you if you want, but it would have to be later in the day. I'm at work right now.

BTW is that a Mex Strat or American you are using in the vids. It sounds sweet. Great tone, and a great lesson man.

The guy in the video is actually not me. It is Phil Woodward who I work with on guitar seminars he holds (Shameless plug - there is a Hendrix seminar coming up in August - it will be held in Santa Monica, CA www.philwoodwardsguitarworkshop.com for details).

The guitar is a 69' reissue out of the Fender Japan Custom Shop. It is a great guitar.

The signal is being run straight into a 196X Marshall stack and then routed into a Fender Showman or Bassman (I can't remember). Basically the amp set up is pretty much just like the one that Jimi was using in the early experience days.

So between the guitar, the amp and Phil spending hours and hours and hours listening, watching and practacing he has really gotten pretty good at Jimi's tone and techniques.
