Has anyone actually compared the two, what were your thoughts?
I just got the new blue model, don't like it, too dark.

The Purple one sucked. It had BC-108B lower gain transistors, which I though blew.
The new Blue one kills. Yes, it's fat as hell...just dial up the highs on your amp.

I have a Blue 70 also. If it's too dark..try increasing the mid control..the internal trim pot will make it react differently. give it a shot..also if the fuzz is not almost or fully dimed it does get really dark
