I was wondering if anyone knows of any good noise suppressors/gates suggestions. I have the boss ns-2, but it bothers me because it changes how everything sounds both on/off so much. I don't use it because I'd rather here some noise. Are there any noise-stomps that are transparent or at least with true-bypass? thanx for all suggestions.

In the pedal format the only 2 other option I know of are the following;
Ibanez NB-10 Noise Buster wich isn't true-bypass and for ME is better than the ns-2
Rocktron Hush Pedal, I don't really know this one as I have not tried one for myself... I know it has 2 treshold settings wich are usually used this way by their users 1 for clean sound and seocnd one for distorted sound and you switch between those two as needed... don't know if it's true bypass or not...
For all pedal if you want to add true bypass you could do so using a true bypass loop box.
Hope this helps

I use the Rocktron Hush pedal (the turquoise 2 switch / 2 threshhold settings version) and I found it to be way cleaner than the Boss NS-2 .. I like it and it stays turned on all the time.

Another vote for the Rocktron from me...it works a lot better than the gate in my ART compressor and it doesn't seem to hurt my tone.

You know I have been wanting a noise suppressor, but I always hear people say that they such away quite a bit of tone. I was considering the Carl Martian Noise Terminator....

I have to say that the Carl Martin Noise Terminator looks very interesting. It has 2 different threshhold settings(like the hush) and also has true-bypass. But i can't find any reviews on the product. Maybe I'll wait a little longer
