I was just wondering if any of you could tell me about the Robotalk Pedal. Exactly what kind of sounds do you get out of it and is it worth looking into buying one?

The robotalk is a "clone" of the Oberheim Sample and hold pedal.
Frank Zappa used the latter in the song "Ship Ahoy" off the "shut up and play your guitar" album. You can hear what the Sample-and-hold sounds like at the tonefrenzy website, and I believe Toyz also has a sound clip of the Robotalk. It's made in California by a Japanese company(Prosound Communications).
It's a very fun pedal,I dig it.It runs on TWO 9 volt batteries and I almost forgot, it also has one of the sickest envelope filters I've heard, it's actually two pedals in one. Enjoy

CORRECTION:
Oberheim called it the "Voltage Controlled Filter" it was also sold as the Maestro "Sample and hold"
