I believe I was referring to the fact that this topic has perused a few times on this board. But, if you're new, that's definitely excusable. As for myself, I think I've found my dream setup, sort of. I don't think such a thing really exists; no setup can cover all of the bases perfectly. But, for the music I play right now (emo stuff with my current band, blues and jazz on my own), I've got it down. Since I've posted my setup numerous times before, I'll spare the webspace; it's somewhere on this board.

Cmon guys lighten up!
I'll take Page's 59 Les Paul and a 68 Plexi Marshall and one (1) guitar cord, thank you.

Aaaahhh, emo's just another stupid name for rock..... It's all the same. Speaking of Marshall, I'm in love with my 69' JMP-50 (same as a 1987, just a bit better clean tone). Man, that thing sounds GOOD. With either my PRS or 52' tele, it has lush clean or screams. I've been recording with it the past couple days, allowing my rhythm player to use my JCM2000, and it kicks the JCM's ass! Not a lot of headroom, however, as we play pretty loud. I think this, along with maybe an SG or another distortion in addition to my Big Muff, is my dream setup. I also have a 2X12 cab with Weber Alnico Blue Dogs for the JMP. They provide a certain vox "chime" to my Marshall crunch. My bad for being a bitch before. It's a cool topic.

I have always wanted Steive Ray Vaughn's guitar. Even though it was worn down in his eys it was beatuful.

Ill take a Gretsch White Falcon Jr., Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier, THD Hotplate to tame the triple, Dual 4x10 SWR cabs (i like actually having bass on my guitar without a low 7 string farting), Ernie Ball Mono Volume pedal, Guyatone Tube Tremelo, RealTube BGlue Tube overdrive, and my sweet MXR analog delay.

Laney AOR 50 into a 2x12 w celstion 75's. Les Paul into MXR Micro Amp, crybaby 535q, voodoolab superfuzz,DOD classic tube, phase 90, to amp. Digitech pds 1002 and boss ge-7 in effects loop. Thats what I have always wanted, so thats what I play right now. If I cant get the sound happening, I need to practice more.
