Right now I'm playing through a early silverface Deluxe (22 watts)and its clearly not loud enough to compete with a drum kit. In order to hear myself better, I've considered two different options:

1.) Trade in the Deluxe for a louder amp, or

2.) Buy a second low wattage amp and play both amps at the same time.

Basically,I'm curious if say two Deluxes (or say a Deluxe and a Laney Vox copy) produce enough volume to be heard over a drum kit (or if 2 amps even produce more volume in the first place). I'm pretty happy with the Deluxe's sound and its perfect for recording. But I also want to be able to hear myself when I play.
