Can anyone tell me wich overdrive pedal works well with humbuckers. I have a Maxon OD 808 that works great with single coils, but sounds a bit too muddy with humbuckers. I´m looking for something similar to that pedal but with less midrange, something that sounds warm and smooth with the gain rolled down to 0. You know the kind of sound of a tubescreamer with gain turned to 0 (Maybe a bit less overdrive than that) but with less midrange.

Try a tubescreamer, a boss sd1, a boss bd2 ...

The better thing is , hear everything you can , possibly with your equipment and thrust your ears.

Best thing is a good tube overdrive with a Mullard NOS tube. If you want that sound of a tubescreamer, use a Mullard 12AU7 tube. Better than the best TS808, and goes with every kind of guitar and pickup and amp.

Otherwise, lots of people (I've never tried it) are saying the the Vox Valvetone pedal is a TS clone that's good with humbuckers.

Oh; I forgot to mention...

If you want that midrange scoop sound, try a Siegmund MicroTube Overdrive. It's got a flat response with the bass and treble knobs all the way down, and turning them up boosts the bass and treble. Goes from very clean to modern metal distortion.
