Well, My bands first CD is done and out for sale. (www.phalanxmills.com if you want one) I decided last week that I want to try and reinvent my sound for each release, or era between recordings. SO I sold my main amp, and am going to force myself to rely on my 73 bassman. Have any of you ever done something like this?? I just think it would be cool to see where I can go when forced to use something different. Course... it might blow, but I dont' think it will =)

I think that intentionally limiting your "pallette", especially if you're a gearhead (guilty as charged!), can be a good jolt to your creativity. Go for it, F1sh!

Im down to the good stuff now and its difficult..... but Im doing it in part to make myself get back to recording and writing especially.....hope it doesnt backfire...

It can be a great spark to your music when you change up your gear. I wouldn't sell my old stuff though, I would just pack it away.

Oohh Donner. I couldn´t do this. The prices getting higher. Maybe in some years you look for a other one and must pay much more cash.
