Just as I decided it was finally time to make that Diamond Memory Lane purchase I had planned for so long, I find it out of stock and superseded by the Memory Lane 2.
Has anybody tested the Memory Lane 2, and has anybody done a comparison between that and the original pedal? Your comments would be greatly appreciated, as all the research I had previously done was on the original pedal which is no longer available to me. Of particular interest is the supposed taming of the Memory Lane, with the introduction of the internal switch to control ease of oscillation and extreme feedback. As somebody with a tendency for crazy noise appreciation, the oscillation effect of the Memory Lane was a strong motivation. What I would like to know is whether the effects possible with the original Memory Lane are just as accessible in the Memory Lane 2 with the activation of the internal switch. Any explanation of the differences, if any, in tone and the control of the two editions of this pedal would be of great use to me, as I prepare to finally add a quality analogue delay to my effects chain. |
