I own a Dan-Echo, but the memory man is definitely jivin.' The memory man is a tad bit warmer but breaks up a little earlier, from what I coul tell. But, the Dan-echo has an echo and digital delay side, the reason I bought it. Comes down to personal taste, of course.

Do yourslef a favor and consider the Ibanez EM-5 Echomachine... don't be fooled by the soundtank housing this thing sounds amazing.

I know many people can back me on this, but try one for yourself, and if you don't like it you're more than likely to be able to sell it for what you paid... discontinued item but still at a reasonable price.

Though all teh pedal you mentioned are great one... if you want my vote for the one that you listed I'd say the Maxon for the reliability and teh fact that it's true bypass(that's what I read somewhere on this forum anyway) read many good reviews and appreciation of that one.

But if you haven't checked into the Echomachine please do.

Definately the EH Memory man. Not the stereo version though. The Deluxe has an amazing warm sound that i haven't heard anywhere. You also get modulation which is brilliant!

Of the three you mentioned, the Memory Man is the best. In fact, it's one of the best delays ever but it's expensive and uses AC power which is annoying. Plus it's a big sucker.

I have a vintage Ibanez AD80, which the new Maxon is a clone of. Great great pedal but pricey for either a vintage or new one.

DanEcho sounds great, but eats high-end even when bypassed and these have a rep for dying. I have one that works intermitently. All the Dano pedals seem to have a habit of making horrendous crashing noises when bumped, kicked, shaken, etc. This seems to begin happening after they're a few months old. Mine sits on the shelf now. Shame cuz it's a good sounding delay.

I've owned a DanEcho. Though its sound is marginally acceptable for an Analog Delay, after 4 months, I had all sorts of mechanical problems with it.

I can't speak for the Memory Man but I can speak for the Maxon AD-80. I have one and I'm very happy with it. True Analog Delay tone.

I 2nd Dave here . My Dan Echo never went down but the Maxon AD - 80 is the "shit" for tone and simplicity . Also , I've heard great things about the Ibanez " Echo Machine " that GLorbz mentioned . The next time I see one cheap I'm picking it up .

You might want to try to find an old Ibanez AD9...I own a couple and love them...warm analog delay. Similar to the AD80.

What do you guys think of the Line6? On a different site, everyone's saying that's the way to go. I have my doubts about modeling, but I've never tried one either.

Anybody tried the Morley Emerald Echo? I'd like to get the Maxon AD-80 but damn, $180? Looks like Maxon's got a new line out, the "Vintage" line w/ a delay as well....

Just got the new Maxon AD900 "Vintage Series" analog delay with 600 milliseconds - very good pedal, but expensive ($300). More detail under the Aqua Puss chain

I'd say go with a EH Mem. Man, Maxon, Ibanez AD-9, Boss DM-2 or 3, or DOD FX90, in order of expensive to cheap. They're all awesome delays. I don't care for the Line6 modeler.
