Hello.

I have just joined and wanted to let you know what ive got going for me.
Guitar:
Fender Custom Shop 1960 Relic(sunburst of corse)
Amp:
Mesa/Boogie Lone Star 1x12 and 2x12 cabnet (sometimes if it is a big gig a Marshall 1960A)
Effects:
NONE! (exept a RM pic wha)
I have them, just dont use them
Fulltone Deja' Vibe 2, TS9/808, OCD en route, and a bunch of others, but the tone is in the fingers

I play alot of Jimi, funk, blues, jazz, and a little rock. I am in a funk band now and LOVE my tone, the Mesa is suprisingly AWSOME. I can go from an almost Dumbley sound to a screaming Plexi Marshall to a vintage bassman with a footswitch and volume knob.

LOVE MY TONE!

My theory on guitars is that there are people who have an unbrela like love of guitars, and some people have only one that feels right. I have my one guitar that feels right. My "of corse" is because of my tastes, look at any photo of Jimi befor Monterey and you will see him with is '65 sunburst, look at SRV's First Wife, and Rory Gahleger's guitar (though it does not look like sunburst anymore) it is just what i like. And i am sorry if you dont, it is an awsome color for a strat. But blue is a nice color too, original and it stands out, i own a big blue amp, so you know i like the color.

And for the Lone Star, it is a Special, but i just got home from trying out a Classic, they are verry nice, but more chimey than mine. The way i have my amp set up is the clean chanel is verry Jazzy, 100 watt setting, lush warm tones, volume set at 7 1/2 does not move (if i need more volume i add a cabnet, and in the house i turn my guitar down) and sometimes i will flip to the 50 watt setting and turn the volume to 10 for that SRV Lenny tone, Awsome! Then for chanel 2 i have it on the 50 watt setting turned up to 10, a nice cranked marshall sound. My drive i keep really low, let the power tubes do all the work Wink. If i turn the volume down to about 7 it is a nice cranked bassman tone, nice and warm, then volume below 7 is verry chimey, great for funk or an overdrive pedal, i like this setting best for any effects. I have the 1x12 model and exparament with diffrent extention cabnets to get my volume at shows and alot of my tone at jams. Over all i am verry happy with my tone, i feel with just this one amp i have every thing i need, i was going to save up for another amp but there is no need, this one is for me (even though it is a Mesa).

And if anyone can tell me how to put up pics i will be more than happy to, but i cant figure it out.
