I've had this maladay for quite some time. I found that I went through stages of "I've just got to get this amp/guitar/effect". You know, gotta get a Mesa/Boogie amp, gotta have a PRS, must find that perfect pedal, etc. Well, last year my daughter went off to college, and this resulted in both good and bad things. The bad; had to thin out the herd to help finance college. The good; now I can use her old bedroom for my studio!
Guitars: '95 Fender Strat (Mexico Standard) I've found that the price difference between U.S. made and Mexican made just doesn't justify the upgrade; besides, some aspects of the Mexican Strat are better than the U.S. version (bridge parts on Mexi are better made) '03 Gibson Les Paul Classic I've wanted a LP for many years, and have gone through several that looked great but played like crap... I finally found one at the Dallas Guitar Show in April that really spoke to me. '06 Line 6 Flextone III+ After many years of Fenders, Marshalls, Boogies, etc. I have found an amp that lets me just plug in and play. Great sounds, great flexibility, plenty of balls. '70s Yairi DY85 The most underrated acoustic guitars of all time. |
