Did I mention I also do the drums? Yep, rock! And I custom built this kit myself. It's a 1972 Premier kit that I swapped out the old wood shells on for new emerald green acrylic shells (courtesy of Gold n Times, see their web site for more info!). It still has all the original Premier cast hoops & slotted tension rods (you can tune these w/ a dime, in a pinch, when you lose your drum key, AGAIN), original Premier "L" style kick drum tension rods, redrilled & retapped lugs (I replaced the inferior pot-metal self-tapping single retaining screws w/ stainless steel machine screws & washers), and top it all off w/ modern Pearl Master Series vents, floor tom legs & isolation feet, Pearl's snare strainer & butt plate, PureSound Percussion "Twisters" snare wires, clear Evans EC2 top heads w/ Resonant bottoms, and Pearl drum stands for the tom & snare. The front smooth-white resonant kick head even has a lime-green 1970's-style "Premier" drums logo, custom made, of course, baby! Ouch!

The sizes are 14x24, 9x13, 14x16, & a 6x14 snare... and, YES! They are the loudest drums on the planet! Think the Flaming Lips latest DVD. That's exactly what they sound like! I'm actually a much better drummer than gtrist, by the way. Eat yer hearts out! Now who needs a drummer?
