Ty:

Hope things are going well. Whenever you get a moment, don't forget to let me know how the ICBM fuzz works out. I am thinking about getting one. Thanks and Happy Holidays.

Heya Hemi!

Things are going great. The ICBM fuzz is pretty awesome. I got a free NYC Big Muff with my Electro Harmonix POG and I was able to compare the two pedals side by side.

The reissue Big Muffs are transistor based and sounds like you would expect a Big Muff to sound. It's a good pedal.

The ICBM still sounds like a Big Muff...all the basic characteristics are there (the sustain, the smoothness, the low end etc.) but there's a little more bite and presence that the EH pedal lacks. The low end is huge without getting too murky.

The tone and volume controls on the ICBM are what really set it apart from a stock Big Muff...the tone control is way more versatile across the sweep and there's a LOT more volume on hand than there is on a stock Big Muff. You never have to worry about kicking on your fuzz and having it be not quite loud enough compared to your clean tone.

The ICBM is also pretty quiet when you're not playing compared to the stock Big Muff.

It works well with other pedals. I can cascade my Keeley Java Boost into it and it sounds awesome.

I also got a Keeley modded RAT the other day. Damn! That's one hell of a pedal too. It's definitely my favorite distortion pedal. I never really cared that much for the stock RAT so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was shocked at how good it is. It's insanely versatile with the 3 way switch. Probably one of the best pedal investments I have ever made.

Thanks for the mini-review. I am probably just going to go ahead and get one. I have also been thinking about getting a Keeley RAT too. I've heard nothing but good things about it.
