marshall have that 'fame' of coolness and are ballsy...sometimes, I wonder how much that plays into it in our seemingly shallow, utterly cosmetic notions of propriety

(and just about anything sounds pretty good runnin' hot and bothered thru a 4x12, even a Peavey)

One of the sweetest amps I've played was a blonde bassman, through a 2x12 cabs with V30's. You have to crank bassmans to 10 to get that golden tone. I'm getting wet just thinking about it.
