Can someone distill the info for me, if you check that kinda shit anymore? I'd like to maybe add a song to it. But I'm not really an OJer any more. Maybe I can be grandfathered in.

"Best of OJ" CD! TWO WEEKS LEFT
What if we made a compilation of music from OJ'ers?? Most of y'all are musicians, right? Everybody should submit one of their best tunes (originals or public domain only, i guess) and we should put together a "Best of Open Jam" compilation disc! There's some really good stuff out there, we could have fun with it!

What do y'all think? I'll be responsible for it if enough people are interested!

----EDIT----
UPDATE:

You don't have to have access to computer-based recording to contribute to this. You can email me an mp3, OR you can snail mail me a CD or cassette.

ATTN: HCOJ Member Compilation
J. Marshall Owen
318 Skeet Club Rd.
High Point, NC 27265-1875

One contribution may be made per member (no multiple monikers, please! I'll need real information for the legal matters anyway, because it will have to be either an original or public domain, and if it's original I'll need to get a signed release for it.)

If you don't have access to all the musicians/instruments you need, we can incorporate cyberjam-style additions; I am willing to add backing parts to any submissions as requested, and I believe others would be as well.

We'll do our best to make this a professional thing, which means that it will cost money. You can tell me on the poll here if you're interested enough or not.

I also need volunteers to assist in matters of cover art (we could also perhaps include poetry or something on the inside, for those of you who are more literarilly or artistically inclined rather than musically), paper printing, CD duplication, and financial matters.

AND....
I need to get a signed copy of the attached release form from each member in order for your submission to be considered for placement on the CD.

you can mail the signed release form to me at the address listed above, or email it to mowen2002@web.de

Thanks!

---UPDATE---
Submissions to date:

sporter - Cool Surfer
Kid Klash - 4k In The Road
BarryC - Look What's Coming At You
televisionary - Bill
splatbass - Going Home

Eh, I think I'll give 'em a song. Liquid will do, and will balance out the rest of the stuff. I'd like to see a song of mine on a CD that looks semi-real.

it came up over pancakes, and saline just poured water on it saying insane things like, "pass the syrup" and "are you gonna use all your butter, Jeff?" and these other ridiculous things as we tried to hash out the details...

I just cant work with the guy -- what a diva... Frown
