Divx I DLed tonight. . .anyone know a fix?

I read somewhere about going to properties

and there is some kind of equation you can

do to get it closer. . .shit. . .I will

probably never watch Requiem For a Dream

again anyways. . .that movie doesnt live

up to the hype. If you know though I would

like to get The Big Lebowski a little closer

to perfect (happens 3/4 the way through the

film) and Trainspotting was pretty close. Just

irks me a little. . .but for free I cant

complain

anyone?

I have actually been going back and buying DVDs of the movies I d/l ed and actually liked. Got Big L on dvd a while ago, all the CKY flix, some other crap. Buying used stuff on amazon, half.com, or at local places is the best bet.

I don't understand how it gets out of sequence slightly near the end

but its perfect for half the film. There seems to be a fix here though.

Worth the effort when you can buy it? Thats questionable. Quality is

good. . .and I am glad I didnt buy Requiem. So its good to watch movies

and see if they are worth owning. . .even if they have minor problems

that dont really cause that much disturbance. Maybe I can get them

perfect. . .

I dunno... I think anything that requires any effort to fix these fucked up files is too much work, but that's just my opine. I think I am going to buy Requiem... I really liked it. But you know... you can always rent these videos, too. Then you can copy 'em with your DVD burner. I mean, for archive purposes. Or not.

I didnt find a damn thing likable about

ANY of those characters. That, to me, is the

start to any good film. Now Trainspotting is a

good movie about addiction. Requiem came off as

something that should have been on the cutting

room floor in some film class. All that stupid

dilating and the shot of the veins every time

they get high . . .and that stupid refigerator

scene. . .my god it was pure MTV rubbish.

The anal dildo scene was sensationalism and

added nothing to the film besides something

teenagers will tell their friends to see cause

dude she was using a double dong with another

chick. I dunno. . .the movie left me cold.

Like "pumpkin". . .seriously. . .you should rent

that one and I would be curious to see what

Well, I played around with it. . .and you

can go scene by scene and synch. Its not

worth the time though. . .they are close

enough. I was just trying to get them too

I don't feel the need to like the characters to like a movie. I liked getting high effect. I don't think the movie was MTV rubbish at all, I think it was in fact a quality movie a few orders of magnitude better than anything that has an MTV label on it. The anal dildo scene was the "oh my god she's such a fucking crank addict now" scene, and I thought it was not just sensationalism.

The movie left me cold, too, and that's why I liked it. I had a couple of friends that saw it in the theater with me that were visually disturbed by it even after it was over.

Did you see "Pi" at all? What'd you think of it? I can see how his pacing and editing style can be perceived as MTVish, but I really think he's so much better than that.

I just found the whole story had to swallow. I mean would any rational

person let themselves go down like that. Just seemed so contrived. . .

like the director knows what happens to people like this and hes going

to tell us girlfriend uh uh uh. Would you sell out your

hot girlfriend to get drugs? NO That old lady was looney from the start

if she is watching that crazy assed infomercial. . .and why is it on all

fucking day? And who puts weed in a ZIP lock bag? everyone uses the

regular sandwich baggies and licks the edge of the flap. . .

I found the film unsatisfying for so many reasons. One because its just

like watching a trainwreck. . .you already know how its going to turn

out. Why not just watch people jumping out of the world trade towers?

I think the best message from this movie is

to take control of your life or someone will

do it for you. Maybe thats what I was

missing.

Seriously though, I rented the movie last night

because I thought the sequencing might have

messed up my overall view of the film.

Let me say, I am never ever going to download

a movie again. Seriously, the movie should be

watched on the DVD. The whole ending was ruined

by the shitty file. The audio was so out of

synch and some shots stalled and I missed the

part where they all ended up curled into the

fetal position.

The ending really tied it together. Fuck

downloading movies. There arent so many movies

I want to own that I have to be too cheap to

buy them. I will buy movies and games. . .

Im going to keep downloading music. I was

off base to totally slag the film. The camera

work was great the split screen. . .all that.

Its still a trainwreck. . .but after seeing the

ending with the audio and video better in synch

and seeing all the individual frames clearly

I like it alot better. I may buy it because I

find it to be a challenging film. I dont get why

Marion was smiling though? Surely there was

nothing happy about what SHE did . . .
