There's a big Java conference in SF at the end of June. I'm trying to convince my company that they need to send someone (me). They'll probably balk at the price, though, so I'm checking into the hotel prices to see if I can tell them that I'd pay for the hotel myself.

We have a couch that is just a 10-minute streetcar ride away from Moscone center

although Union Square and Civic Center are the closest

10 minutes is nothing. I will tell them this. I wanna go, I wanna go. If they would, then I could maybe stay a little longer and use some vac time.

you could stay at my place, tho transit is a bit...well...can you ride the bus...

but Phobesy is right...he's a trolly ride away essentially...but you may have to walk past Crepes on Cole and smell the panniecakes...heck, JAVA and panniecakes = sweet caffiene dumpage (theoretically)
