It's a toss up..."Viva" by Roxy Music or the 20th Anniversary reissue of Cheap Trick Live at Budokan...the one with the complete concert. Totally kick ass.

That being said, there's a number of live bootlegs that totally rule...my favorite so far is a live Television bootleg that Oakland burned for me. Oakland burns the best bootlegs...no joke. They are the pride of my bootleg collection.

bootlegs aside...

hmmm...

the Thin Lizzy 'Live&Danderous' CD...Deep Purple 'Live in Tokyo', but honestly I dont listen to them much these days so this is more of a 'fuzzy' recollection...ABB 'Live at Fillmore East'.the Elizabeth Reed is worth owning...Who 'live at Leeds'...the new Zep CD's are excellent from what Ive heard..alot of blues records are cool live, but Im too lazy to mention them...

King Curtis 'live at the Fillmore' iffen you like 60's soul...those PJ release have some excellent stuff, if you like PJ...and then there's the NY stuff...Lou Reed fans might like "Live in Italy" and certainly entertaining is Lou's 'Take no Prisoners' album...and the 'RnR Animal' lp is kinda heavy-cool too...

galaxy 500's 'copenhagen' is archivally interesting, and honestly shows what they were like live...and the Lilith Fair Tour is wicked powerful... Smile

Oh, not the band Live. Damn you, Idlewidle, and your random capitalizations! Capitalist pig! Mad

Um... I don't really have too many live albums. I think my favorite right now would have to be Big Brother and Holding Company Cheap Thrills record.

I got it for like $2 at a garage sale last summer. Great album.

My favorite is Clapton's Crossroads 2 box set.

If I am going for a single performance, Clapton's "Rainbow Concert." The late and great Luther Allison "Live in Chicago" is just amazing.

These are two that are not as famous. I mean, do we even need to go into Jimi @ Woodstock, SRV@ACL, ABB@Fillmore?!

PBS did a good documentary on the life of Bob

Marley. His very personal life and his career.

I enjoyed it very much. I remember is showed

all the white reporters asking stupid questions

like "what would I have to do to become a

Rastafari?"

Marleys reply: "first youd have to be born

again!" Big Grin

The reporters that called him a stoned musician

that worshiped a dictator and all this crap

were also included. It was a very complete

bio and interesting. I think it was part of the

Great Performances series. I recommend any

fans checking it out. May be in your public

library even.

IDLEWILDE: the pedal looks really good for the

price I think and gets really excellent reviews

DO YOU HAVE ONE?

Yes.I think I've had it for a year and a half.It can boost for solos or you can leave it on and roll up and down your volume knob for differant tones. It's really quit compared to any TS9 or Fuzz pedal I've owned. It made me sell my Klon. All my other pedals are in the corner now.
