Coffee, tea and cocoa are all sourced (in my house) from fairtrade sources. I haven't bought any copper or zinc for a while, but next time I do I will attempt to source it ethically. I also donate money and time to pressure groups who would ideally bring about the end of bad-practices relating to these materials. Shrimps? I don't eat tiger-prawns, only Irish-Channel or Arctic/North sea prawns. I don't buy sweatshop goods. At all. I won't even buy mahogony guitars for god's sake! You are avoiding the question; either you give a shit or you don't. If you are going to whine about the things you listed above (rightly IMHO) and McDs and Nike and Reebok and whoever else whilst happily snorting drugs which are born of expoitation, murder and slavery then you are every bit the hypocrit that Steve is when he's preaching hate on behalf of Jesus. Purely my thoughts obviously; it's quite possible that you believe me to be spouting crap. |
